About Barbara
Originally I trained as a fashion/textile designer at the Belfast College of Art, Ulster University, then I ran my own freelance design and couturier business for 5 years before going into fashion design in industry. Taking a break to live in Amsterdam for a year I returned and worked as a picture framer and gallery assistant for several years before becoming an art technician in education. Having been surrounded by art for over 10 years I finally decide it was time to take up the brush myself and started by joining a life drawing class in 2013.

I spends a large proportion of my time in France where I pursues my love of rambling, I loves the isolation of hill walking and the panoramas that unfold, the colour, the textures, the light.
